A brief documentary titled “A Night at the Garden” reveals the shocking pro-American rally held at Madison Square Garden in 1939. The film showcases “20,000 European Americans” who gathered to rally and salute the Third Reich. Hidden from American history for many years, this important footage has now been brought to light by Marshall Curry and released by Field of Vision.
It was nominated for the 2019 Academy Award for Best Documentary Short and was an official selection at the Sundance Film Festival. It also participated in a special screening and panel discussion at the New York Film Festival.
Currently, we are witnessing history repeating itself. As we listen carefully to the speech, it makes me pause and wonder if their descendants have infiltrated the GOP. After watching this chilling video, ask yourself the following questions:
- Who are these individuals, and where are they currently?
- Why was this film kept hidden?
- Who is the woman singing the national anthem, and who is the symphony orchestra playing for her?
- What is the reason for George Washington being placed between two swastikas?
- Who authorized this rally to take place?
- Did most White Americans share this mindset?
Anyone who watches this documentary will want answers. Firstly, the meeting was well-organized, making it hard to believe that such a large group is not part of our political system. This rally occurred before the war in Germany concluded, while Hitler was still building concentration camps.
